Buying extra cards before checking the four Parallel XP requirements can waste currency on players who contribute nothing to your remaining objectives. Treat MLB 26 stubs as a roster budget: before spending MLB 26 stubs, identify which eligible teams your collection already covers. The Retro Championship Series Program rewards targeted participation, so filling a missing role matters more than purchasing a stronger card from an unrelated team.

Use the Reward Thresholds to Set Your Route

The reward path reaches Jhonkensy Noel at 10 points, Zack Britton at 20, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. at 30, a Deluxe Choice Pack at 40, and Justin Verlander at 50. Ten Moments provide three points apiece, while four PXP missions supply the remaining 20. Players targeting Verlander should plan for both objective groups from the outset.

Completing every Moment establishes a 30-point foundation without requiring a specialized roster. That makes Moments the sensible opening for players with limited collections. If one scenario repeatedly stalls your progress, switch temporarily to eligible PXP gameplay; spending an entire session chasing three points can delay several missions that could advance together.

Build Around Overlapping Team Requirements

The smaller objectives require 410 PXP with Yankees players and 260 with Dodgers players. The larger objectives require 2,026 PXP with Guardians or Rays players and 2,026 with Dodgers or Brewers players. Dodgers cards offer the clearest overlap because eligible production can advance their individual objective and the larger National League pairing.

Construct your lineup around that overlap, then fill remaining positions with Guardians or Rays players and enough Yankees representation to address the 410-PXP requirement. Brewers players remain useful wherever your Dodgers options leave a positional weakness. A productive eligible hitter is generally a better roster choice than a higher-rated unrelated card when program completion is your immediate goal.

Measure Progress Before Committing a Session

Run one game in a mode listed as eligible by the mission requirements, then inspect all four counters. This establishes whether your selected cards and mode register progress before you invest multiple games. Record the increase for each unfinished objective; the team with the slowest advancement becomes your next lineup adjustment, rather than assuming equal roster representation produces equal results.

Keep eligible pitchers in mind when allocating roster space, but judge their value through actual counter movement. If your Guardians and Rays total barely changes while the National League total climbs quickly, add American League opportunities in your next game. Check again after completing the 260-PXP Dodgers objective, since Dodgers production can still serve the larger 2,026-PXP requirement.

Finish the Remaining Objectives Without Overspending

Once a smaller mission is complete, reconsider the slots assigned to it. Yankees players have less program value after reaching 410 PXP unless another active objective needs them. Redirect those opportunities toward whichever 2,026-PXP total remains unfinished. Likewise, choose swings around each Moment's stated condition: a single-hit requirement calls for a different approach from a scenario demanding multiple runs.

At 30 program points, reaching Verlander requires the full remaining 20 points from the mission group. Program points, account XP, and player PXP serve different purposes, so verify the program screen before extending your session. If you consider MLB The Show 26 Stubs for sale, first confirm that a specific roster gap justifies the expense; additional currency does not replace completing the remaining objectives.
